Chili Lime Corn on the Cob (Elote)

A staple of Mexican street food Elote refers to fresh corn which is served on the cob. The corn is either grilled or boiled then coated with mayonnaise and dusted with any of the following: chili pepper, salt, cotija cheese, lime juice and hot sauce.

Our take on Elote is an easy version!

Chili Lime Corn on the Cob (Elote)

Ingredients:

  • Corn on the Cob
  • Butter
  • Lime Juice
  • reddevilBBQ Chili Lime Inferno Spice Blend

Method:

We recommend that you steam the corn, using a standard vegetable steamer for 23 minutes. Place the steamed corn on a hot grill to add the perfect char to the kernels. Remove from the heat and butter the corn. Sprinkle with fresh lime juice and then dust with reddevilBBQ Chili Lime Inferno Spice Blend. Optionally you can add cheese, if you can't find Mexican cotija you can use a goat cheese!!
